My New Speaker Wire Product

WireHanger.jpg

Because apparently you really can't tell the difference between this and mega-mondo-monster cables.

Of course the article isn't scientific, but it would have been interesting to see the looks on the faces of those golden-ear'd guys.

Scott, care to chime in?

Hallelujah!!

The true quality of an audio system is in the enjoyment of the listener. "True" != "Good" when it comes to sound.

For many people, it's enough to say they have the coolest bit of kit, and how much they paid for it. Many of these folks have never done audiology tests to see how good their own ears are, so why should anyone believe them when they say "Vinyl is better!!" or whatever camp they're in?

I've noted before that I have nearly perfect hearing, certainly far better than average. I can hear differences in lots of equipment, rooms and recordings. But a lot of the time I want the recording altered in some way to match my perception of how it should be played - different EQ, dynamic processing, etc. - in a given environment.

It comes down to preference and ego.
